For years, I've been pointing out that, sadly, there is no place for women in ground combat.
Given that it seems I am unable to actually find any evidence that female "infantrypeople" have actually deployed into a combat situation, the military may have actually made the same decision, and all of this "women in the infantry" is all a kabuki dance to fool the masses.
But putting women together with men in ground combat units cannot help but degrade combat capabilities and negatively impact discipline.
And in this instance, the rumored fraternization of the very FIRST Marine female to become an "Infantryperson" is now confirmed and she's getting kicked out of the Marines for her inability to keep her clothes on.
And no, this isn't what you would expect... although much of that has happened as well.
This isn't the case of a rough, tough, senior male NCO taking advantage of a precious young female private.
On the contrary, this is a case of a rough, tough FEMALE NCO having a relationship with a MALE subordinate.
It does, in fact, work both ways… from pregnant Ranger students to, in fact, senior NCO's using their positions... or allowing their positions to be used, by junior ranking females looking for an advantage.
As time goes on, more and more we're seeing "what can go wrong." Now, it's only a matter of how much blood is going to be spilled as a result of this insanity.
Trailblazing female who became infantry Marine is getting kicked out for fraternization
This is just one of the many signs of impending disaster.
A disaster that we'll see with our own eyes as soon as female infantry deploys... if they're ever allowed to deploy into combat.
As another general election comes near, I ask you, dear voter.... are you doing the work?
I have been active in local politics, literally, for the past 30 years.
I've served on legislative staff in Olympia and in the district offices in the Vancouver area... as the Executive Director of the Washington State GOP... as a precinct committee officer, as a district chair, as a phone banker and sign planter... with the wood splinters in my hands to prove it... and doorbell ringer.
I've learned a lot.
The first thing I learned is that my BA in Government/Political Science was long on theory, but short on actual, practical application.
As a country, perhaps THE most important aspect of our lives when it comes to economics and politics is limited to labeling. The president certainly depended on labeling during HIS campaign.
Slick packaging has done more to sell a product than the contents in the package, particularly at first.
But slick packaging only gets you so far.
At some point, you open the bag and try the chips, the soap, the ice cream, the oil, the air filter.
And the quality of those products and the value of those products is what determine your brand loyalty.
It doesn't really matter how long you've been eating Kellogg's cereals for example; the first time you buy a box labeled "corn flakes," only to take it home and discover it's bran flakes instead, you're going to hesitate to buy another box... you might anyway, but the NEXT time the same thing happens, you're likely never to buy a box of that stuff again.
On the other hand, if you buy a box labeled corn flakes, open it up and discover, well, corn flakes, if that's what you're looking for, that's also what you're likely going to buy again in the future.
We see the labels "Republican" and "conservative," kicked around like a football. They've become labels of convenience, perhaps the biggest negative impact of our top-two primary system.
We get candidates who count on our addiction to labels. They count on our failure to check the ingredients listed on the box BEFORE we buy the product... the product sold with slick advertising, the product that promises to solve all of our problems from skin conditions to aching backs.
So, they call themselves something. They claim to be conservatives because they know that, for example, in the 18th District if you want GOP support, that's what you need to do.
The problem is that back in 2015, we discovered our "conservative" senator was anything but. And our county is on the hook for $700 million in gas tax and tab fee increases as a result.
The problem is that back in 2017, before the GOP lost control of the state Senate, our senator showed, once again, that she was anything but.
We've bought the corn flakes. We were betrayed once. We must have thought it was an anomaly.
Even though she lied to us and betrayed us for hundreds of millions of dollars being used to support King County's loot rail fetish, a lie without shame or regret; we bought the second box because we couldn't believe what happened with the first.... only to discover that with the second box, not only was it bran flakes, but it was old, stale, moldy bran flakes that cost this state multiple billions and allowed local teachers to engage in outright, never-enough extortion as they betrayed the children and the families of those attending schools in the area... because of their greed.
Sen. Ann "Gas Tax" Rivers bears a great deal of the responsibility for all of that. Along with Sen. "Lyin' Lynda Wilson who assured us that our property taxes were, in fact, going to go down as a result of their betrayal, those same property taxes exploded.
These two call themselves "conservatives."
My spaniel is more conservative.
Politics is, of course, an outcome-based business.
The outcomes of many who use their labels to lie about who they are and what they mean around here have become universally poor.
Many around here with that label have betrayed everything it means. Many in office or running for office hold it up as a shield. But they refuse to tell you what they think it means.... or how they intend to utilize conservative principles in their governance.
The key is their record.
Do they support tax and fee increases? Did they oppose them if already elected, will they take a position on those issues if asked during a campaign?
For example, here's the criteria I use:
1. Did they lie to get elected in the past?Any one of these reasons or combination of reasons? Then don't vote for them.
1. Do they support an income tax?Any one of these reasons or combination of reasons? Then don't vote for them.
You, of course, can add or subtract anything you like to you list. But the lists I've provided here are worthless IF YOU DON'T DO THE WORK.
Look BEYOND the voter's pamphlet. Look BEYOND the slick mailers that make them come across like they're actually the second political coming.
Go to the government websites. Check their voting records. Check what they actually DID as opposed to what they SAY they did.
Frequently, the two bear no resemblance to each other. Because, after all, they want you to buy the label.
You should never, ever vote for someone merely because of a label. As local electeds around here have proven, the label is the most meaningless aspect of their political existence.
You have to do the work. You have to KNOW who these people REALLY are before you fill out your ballot.
We may well disagree with each other on what any of this means. You may come to know who these people really are and want to support them regardless. That, of course, is up to you. But at least, unlike most, you'll know ahead of time what to expect when they jack up our taxes and fees and flatten us with new regulations and so forth.
Either way, take your responsibility of voting seriously. Because you have to take the results seriously.
And so do the rest of us.
The latest group of thugs to sell us out is the Port Commissioners for the Vancouver Soviet.
It's no different this time than last time.
You remember, don't you?
The lies. The ignorance. The policy of ignoring the people.
All to get Loot Rail into Clark County because, well, you know, after Sen. Ann "Gas Tax" Rivers raped our wallets when she betrayed us on her gas tax/tab fee scam for $700 million; and then doubled down by raping us on our property taxes as THEY exploded to pay off her WEA buddies for hundreds of millions more... And THEN caused the extortionist teachers to go on strike as a result...
These SAME people or their ilk, in many instances, want us to feel the pain so we'll park our 5-figure expensive cars and act like ants getting on their Utopian ideal of transportation.
Well, the thought occurred to me that every aspect of this rip off is the same now as it was over a decade ago.
First, there's a bunch of different little governments who want the CRC scam... although it's hard to understand what difference, say, the position of Camas's city council would make on the issue one way or the other.
Those who take this step typically do it quietly, with little notice. Who knew that the fringe-leftist Steyer-owned and operated Port Commissioners were even considering this stupidity?
Can't clue the peasants in, can we?
The Clark County Council's leftist majority would not be out of place if they were the Peking/Beijing city council. And when there is advanced notice, a beat down electorate who already knows their position on the issue is meaningless, no longer can take the time off during the work day to let those in governance have it right between the eyes.
That said, besides their leftist bent, those supporting this rip off all have one thing in common:
Of the politicians voting to support this insanity.... how many of them work south of the River?
Of the politicians voting to support this insanity.... how many of them would have to pay the toll just to go to work?
So, once again, what these lowlife sellouts are doing is spending OUR money that THEY won't have to spend as individuals.
And how much are THEY going to pay towards their theft of our money on a project we do not want, do not need and cannot afford?
That each and every candidate or incumbent who supports this garbage?
Take the same amount from their pay that is required by the commuting public for this and have it sent to WADOT.
After all, THEY are the ones who want it so bad... what their constituents want notwithstanding... why shouldn't THEY be paying for it as well?
After all, fair's fair, ain't it? They want those of us who MUST go to work south of the river to pay for using their idiotic, unneeded, unwanted, unaffordable bridge just so we would THEN have the privilege of paying even more exorbitant tolls to Oregon once you CROSS the bridge so they can steal the money to help support their socialist government.
That's what these people want. All to get light rail into Clark County.
As this election comes closer, each and every candidate or incumbent needs to be pinned down as to their position on this. What is their position on additional bridges in additional locations? Are they willing to waste our billions to get loot rail into Clark County? Are they willing to pay as eagerly as they're willing to make US pay?
Whatever they tell you, have them put it in writing and be guided accordingly... not that, as Gas Tax Rivers has shown us, even PUTTING it in writing is any guarantee.
Imagine my surprise when Clark County Today showed us that striking extortionist teachers HAVE BEEN GETTING PAID!
At the end of a contentious 3 hour meeting that ended with the Battle Ground schools Board of Directors behind closed doors, the board voted 5-0 in favor of this resolution.
It essentially notifies teachers that, if they don't return to work by Monday, September 17, they won't get paid. They will not lose money, but won't receive any further checks until they go back to work.
The district is allowing teachers to keep their health coverage, essentially fronting the premium until they return to work.
This gets to the heart of the matter. That striking extortionist teachers got a dime... or any insurance coverage... of any kind?
That is simply astounding.
Is it any wonder these extortionists ram it in and break it off every chance they get?
What does it actually COST THEM?
Any school board confronted with striking extortionist teachers should cut off their pay the MOMENT they announce they're going on strike.
And the same needs to be said for any of their benefits.
That BGSD took this step is news.
That they NEEDED to take this step... that cutting off striking extortionist teachers from ALL pay and ALL benefits, INCLUDING insurance, isn't automatic?
That is an outrage. It is inexplicable. It is unfathomable. And it must stop.
Ending ANY financial recompense to these scum, these greedy, self-serving lawbreakers (it is illegal to go on strike if you're a public sector employee, including teachers) the MOMENT a strike is announced MUST become the new normal.
If they want to break the law, hurt the kids and their families, and screw up the lives of the classified personnel, then they have to know they're on their own.
Unbelievable. Astounding. Inexcusable.
Much like the extortionist strike itself.
Four years ago, a true freshman quarterback by the name of Jake Browning came onto the scene in Huskyville with a well-earned reputation of being a cold-0blooded football gun-slinger, among the greatest natural passers the game has ever known.
Browning attended Folsom High School in Folsom, California. Browning set numerous national and state records during his high school career. In 46 games, he completed 1,191 of 1,708 attempts for 16,775 yards and 229 touchdowns, all California records. The 229 touchdowns also broke the national record previously held by Maty Mauk who had 219. As a senior, he threw for a national record 91 touchdown passes. He also passed for a California record 5,790 yards, which broke his record from his junior year. Browning was the Gatorade Football Player of the Year his junior and senior year. Those numbers are stupidly good. Fantasy numbers. "Can't even dream of these" kind of numbers.
Browning early on was a Boise State commit. When Coach Peterson left Boise, under NCAA rules, his commits could go with him... and Browning did.
The wife and I have been season ticket holders the last two years. I have many of these games recorded. I've watched many of them repeatedly.
In his first year here (2015), Jake was fearless. His mechanics were very good. He did then what he has trouble doing now: executing his decision, good or bad, with a finesse that amazes.
On paper, he was all that and a bag of chips.
As a sophomore, he guided the Dawgs offense to a FBS Bowl (where they got hammered by Alabama) and won the PAC12.
And along the way, he showed flashes of brilliance. He was fearless. He was a football warrior.
Until the USC game of that season.
Since then, he's shown flashes of incompetence.
The Huskies opened up that PAC12 season (2016) by crushing Stanford.
It was a thing of beauty, an almost technically flawless game.
It was the intersection of a great defense and a high-caliber offense. Stanford wound up humiliated on national TV.
Browning was a super-star, high on the list of Heisman hopefuls.
And there he stayed... until everything fell apart in that seasons' USC game.
The Trojans were singularly unimpressed. They came to Husky Stadium and they pounded and pounded and pounded. It's like they smashed Jake in the mouth
And that's when the first cracks appeared in his armor.
In my estimation, he's never been the same since.
Something happened in his head and he has never recovered.
Oh, he completes passes. But there are many passes, to wide open receivers, that he DOESN'T complete.
And when he DOES deliver the ball, he's frequently late, and frequently inaccurate. He throws behind the receiver more often than not. Instead of leading receivers, they have to wait for him... and reach behind themselves to snag the ball.
This is his 4th year at Washington. No one mentions the Heisman and Browning in the same sentence any more.
He's not only played himself out of contention for that statue, he's busy playing himself out of a job in the NFL.
Washington's defense rose to the challenge yesterday against lowly North Dakota. They were 45.5 point favorites and North Dakota put up a spirited fight. They never gave up, even when the outcome was obvious. And Jake threw 2 interceptions that most high school QB's would have avoided.
But this year's Washington defense is missing the elements of greatness that were present and obvious for the past two years.
It's not a matter of "fault" or bad coaching.
But how do you replace a Budda Baker and a Vita Vea and the others now in the NFL?
The problem? How does a team like North Dakota come up with a running back that puts together 139 yards?
How is it that the best we could do was 53 by reliable Number 9, Mark Gaston? (Now the leading rusher in Washington history.)
Yeah, I know, we have to face the season without Trey Adams anchoring Jake's blind side.
But if yesterday was the best we could do?
Imagine if we had been playing Stanford or Oregon or USC?
And most of the problem rests between the ears of Jake Browning.
He needs to sit out. He needs a shrink or a hypnotist. But the problems that showed up last year have not gone away this year.
And I would much rather have the fearless freshman Jake than the seasoned, educated, experienced Jake we have now, who can't seem to find his lost magic that made him a top quarterback in the country.
And without it, Washington will be lucky to be invited to the Tire Iron Bowl in Hot Coffee, Mississippi.
Don't buy into the hype that women can cut it in ground combat.
In fact, why haven't we heard of any of these warriors in combat situations?
Have you noticed that?
What combat units with female infantry or armor have actually gone into battle?
Does anybody know of any?
I don't. I'm wondering why that is.
And reader, if you do know of any, please contact me so I can check them out.
Meanwhile, the double standard... that the Army claims doesn't exist... is in full force.
To this day, women do not have to run as fast, carry as much, do as much or fight as much.
And this pregnancy issue?
Instructors claim first female enlisted to earn Ranger tab actually quit, given special treatment
A microcosm of the RINO issue, the King County Council just tossed $135 million at the Mariners as they blackmailed King County in order to kiss their ass with taxpayer dollars to stay put.
Democrats Joe McDermott and Claudia Balducci and the only "Republicans" on the King County Council, Reagan Dunn, Kathy Lambert and Pete von Reichbauer voted to cough up $135 million they just happened to have laying around to keep a professional baseball team in the taxpayer-hosed stadium because they'll leave if they don't get their 30 pieces of silver.
They also voted the same way to keep the issue off the February ballot.
After all, we can't have the people actually paying the bills have any say in these ripoffs.
God Help US, what are we going to do if the people say "no?"
You see, this is another symptom of the RINO disease. It's infected the GOP everywhere... an insatiable desire to outdemocrat the democrats.
Here, it's an example of what happens when the taxpayers get screwed into building a sports facility for a professional team or teams. The teams in question ALWAYS know they can get more... and more.... and MORE money from the taxpayers merely by threatening to leave.
It's not unlike our local teacher extortion. All they have to do is go on strike and there's no end to the money we'll waste to buy them off... and for what?
We see evidence of it here... fake Republicans resurrecting the hated and unaffordable CRC/Loot Rail scam that we had all worked so hard to end... wasting tens of millions of dollars to satisfy the downtown mafia and ignoring the will of the people they lied to in order to gain power.
Fake Republicans ramming the largest gas tax and tab fee increases in our state's history down our throats? The unfathomable budget that caved to an out of control supreme court that had no right or ability to order the Legislature to screw us for the benefit of the scum we call teachers, to pay for their extortion?
Is it any wonder the left has been clobbering us in elections lately? What the hell is the difference between them?
Do you remember when being a Republican actually meant something? Smaller, more efficient government? Lower taxes?
I do. But now, they wouldn't be caught dead living up to the brand.
So, how does the GOP respond when we stay home? When we laugh in their face over "lower taxes."
How many elections that should have been won easily will be lost because of GOP incompetence and this variety of stupidity?
Do these idiots think it all happens in a vacuum? That we don't notice or pay attention?
We do. And that's why I'll be writing in a Republican instead of voting in a RINO who makes us ashamed of the Republican brand.
That's why I'll be following Jaime Herrera Beutler's example by writing in Paul Ryan for her seat... like she did when she trashed President Trump.
Insanity has been defined by doing the same thing, over and over, while expecting a different outcome.
I'm through with that. Each of you reading this must make their own decision, but let's remember: we have the government we deserve.
Let's deserve better.
The cabbage patched faced sniveler, Colon Kaeperpick, has become the new face of Nike.
Apparently, the morons running PR for Nike missed what happened to Dick's Sporting Goods when they got politically stupid as well:
The embattled sports retailer reported a same-store sales decline of 4 percent compared to the same period one year earlier, or about 1.9 percent when not accounting for the 53rd week in the year. For the full year, Dick’s expects same-store sales to fall by 3 percent to 4 percent, compared to a 0.3 percent decline last year.
"We delivered double digit growth in ecommerce, private brands, and athletic apparel excluding Under Armour, however, as expected, sales were impacted by the strategic decisions we made regarding the slow growth, low margin [hunting] and electronics businesses, which accounted for nearly half of our comp decline,” Dick’s Sporting Goods CEO Edward Stack said in a press release.
Dick’s executives had previously warned that the company’s hunting business would suffer as a result of a decision to stop selling assault rifles at stores. The company discontinued sales of rifles and enacted a 21-and-over age limit on all firearm sales after a deadly shooting at a Florida high school left 17 dead last February.
Why businesses believe they can impact social justice stupidity without harming their own stock holders is beyond me.
Face it: were I a Nike share-holder, I'd REALLY be pissed.
Commercializing a scumbag like Kaeperpick flies in the face of common sense. NFL numbers have plummeted because they allowed this little worm, who is a multi-millionaire several times over, who has never known a day of "oppression" in his miserable life, to dictate the social footprint of a multi-billion dollar organization that is now watching as millions of Americans stay home and as millions more slam their wallets shut when it comes to buying their merchandise or the various cable TV packages that help to make them their money.
The lie of the Kaeperpick ad campaign is obvious. His stupidity has NOT resulted in this slimeball "sacrificing everything."
First, he's still alive, isn't he?
Is he living in a tent, panhandling for spare change?
Does he have it as bad as the homeless vets I see every week when I volunteer at the Veteran's Assistance Center downtown?
Is he even living in his car?
In fact, his car cost a lot more than some houses.
Does he live in a tent? Is he spare-changing it or sleeping on a Portland street like so many other homeless?
TELL ME, PHIL KNIGHT: WHAT HAS THIS SCUMBAG SACRIFICED?
The irony of all of this is clear. There are many, both within and without the sports world that fit Nike's disastrous meme much better than this... some who are still in football.
Kaeperpick made stupid choices. He played stupid games with millions of Americans who fought and defended that Flag he so despises.
He won stupid prizes. Others have chosen a different route.
Former US Army Ranger Captain and West Point graduate Alejandro Villanueva sacrificed and risked and fought and bled more on any one day of his time in the military than this Kaeperpick has in the entirety of his sorry life.
He risked everything. Comparatively speaking, Kaeperpick has risked nothing.
There are others who come to mind:
Below is Medal of Honor recipient Corporal Kyle Carpenter, US Marines.
He "believes in something."
Who sacrificed more?
Corporal Carpenter, or this ungrateful worm Kaeperpick?
This, of course, does not include the thousands who died defending us... or the tens of thousands who bled in our defense... many with their physical and psychological lives destroyed or severely impacted through amputation or brain damage or... you name it.
Any one of those brave men and women sacrificed more in one moment that this punk Kaeperpick has in the entirety of his live. Needless to say, I will never buy another Nike product and I will continue to ignore the NFL
Does Kaeperpick have the right to protest?
Does he have the right to protest on MY time?
The reality is that until black lives matter to other blacks, they're not going to matter to me.
Any more than white lives matter to them.
The punks using the NFL to throw their hissy-fits typically do precious little to stop the rivers of blood flowing in the black communities around this nation as blacks slaughter blacks while these slime do... and say... nothing.
Chicago is a black slaughterhouse. What are these same people doing about it?
In fact, what is Nike doing about it?
Talk, you see, is cheap. ACTIONS are what matter. Do we see Nike blowing tens of millions on community efforts to end the black on black slaughter?
So, Phil, do me a favor.
Take your version of white guilt and jam it where the sun don't shine.
The Gellatly Cult hates conservatives. But you have to wonder why they insist on referring to themselves by that label when they despise those who actually practice political conservatism.
Out here in the 18th, for example, a huge part of Larry Hoff's problem is that he tries to market himself as a conservative, but he stupidly started out by being endorsed by every RINO alive.
The result? His disgraceful... and easy to predict... performance at the polls.
You can bet if Sen. Ann "Gas Tax" Rivers runs for reelection, she'll try to get us all to forget the hundreds of millions of dollars she's cost us with her record tax increases... with her DIRECT involvement in causing our property taxes to explode... she, too, will market herself as a "conservative."
The scum who put their names on the poison pen lie letters used to impact the PCO races marketed themselves as conservative, or they never would have been elected CCGOP chairs. But their actions show they hate conservatives.
Five of those people, so-called Republican PCOs, endorsed a nonRepublican for county chair in 2015.
In THIS election in 2018, Donnelly, Ferris, Boger... former Chairs and current RINOs... along with local nutjob Crain, continued to endorse Boldt over his REPUBLICAN opponent.
Is there any accountability for that? Are Republicans supposed to simply ignore that variety of betrayal?
Fortunately, of course, Boldt was crushed in the primary with a humiliating 22%, 2.25% less than Rep. Liz Pike was able to put together as a result of her write-in effort back in 2015. (You remember, Marc, don't you? The effort you ragged me about after you won the gig with your paltry 39%? I guess that made your campaign even more miserable than our paltry effort, eh?)
Yes, the term "conservative" is abused quite a bit. Our druggy GOP chair uses it a great deal, claiming that those who ARE conservative, in reality, aren't.
But it's not limited to the insanity of the current Clark County GOP regime... Venezuela actually is stable in comparison to these idiots.
We see the same thing all over the country.
Establishment candidates running for the GOP who all have one thing in common: none of them are conservative.... even though most ALL of them CLAIM to be.
Why is that?
It's not like the Establishment types would actually LIE or anything, is it?
Mississippi has a problem like that: the woman who replaced a US Senator, who resigned for health reasons, is a former anti-gun democrat who voted for a wide variety of tax increases and gun restriction type legislation when she was a democrat.
But hey, you know, there's nothing like dumping the democrat label when you can still VOTE like a democrat while getting elected as a RINO, eh?
There are, of course, a few RINOs who actually run as RINOs.
Susan Collins of Maine comes to mind. Murkowski of Alaska has been outed as a RINO.
Our own Congresswoman is textbook RINO, having voted against the repeal of Obamacare while trashing our President every chance she gets.
But the rest who vote like RINOs all market themselves as conservatives... or, like our own worthless congresswoman, conservative "enough" to get elected or reelected.
But this time around, it's really not working.
I, for example, will be writing in "Paul Ryan" based on the example Congresswoman Herrera Beutler set in the last Presidential Election because, well, if it was good enough for her (and it was) then it's good enough for me.
As a result, the vaunted Blue Wave which may not be everything claimed (after all, many of those claiming the Blue Wave is going to happen also loudly proclaimed the coronation of one Hillary Clinton as the President of the United States) WILL be helped along as the base stays home... much like it stayed home earlier this month... and much like it stayed home during the special election last year that cost the GOP-controlled State Senate that control.
They ran a pro-abortion RINO in the 45th in Seattle. How'd that work out for them?
But as the election comes closer, these same RINOs who spit on conservatives the rest of the time will come begging for our support. They'll do their best to convince us they're like that. They'll want us to forget their actual voting record. Ignore the massive tax increases... the betrayals on behalf of illegal aliens... the insults, the attacks, the lawsuits... ignore ALL of that in favor voting them in (even those like Hoff who are too terrified of accountability to actually tell us what they intend to do if they get elected... and how they intend to do it) As we are to ignore Herrera's threat to vote to impeach the president... and just vote RINO because we have no other choice.
Untrue, of course, but that's what they'll tell us and that's what they'll demand.
Here locally... across the state... and across the country.
It's a tough decision to make, Dear Reader. When is enough... enough?
When do we hold these people accountable? HOW are they held accountable?
I look at the numbers... and it seems only one of two possibilities are at play... to a greater or lesser extent... across the US.
Option 1. The GOP base stays home.
Option 2. Leftist hatred finally brings out their vote.
The more the Establishment/RINO types betray the base, the less responsive the base will be. No matter what else happens, some element of Option 1 is GOING to be at play.
When those claiming GOP allegiance lose in a close vote? They'll really have no one to blame but themselves. And here locally, they can also blame the local GOP regime which inspires disgust and anger... and which has cost the party thousands of dollars as money is shifted from the party to cover the legal fees of the victim of Druggy Dave's moronic lawsuit.
Option 2 also has to be considered. Leftist hatred has never really throttled back since their humiliation at the polls in 2016 when their criminal queen was destroyed in the Electoral College vote.
Leftists hate naturally, of course. But the biggest issue here is their self-loathing resulting from the cow's loss.
They still can't believe it.
Their natural hatred of anyone who does not share their view is self-defeating. For those who can actually think, the antics of the left are a natural turn off. For leftists, they Rule 5 anyone smart enough to disagree and then they do their best to silence opposing views while retaliating against those who espouse those views.
Oddly, the Establishment types do precisely the same thing... though they go about it differently.
Here, the smile while they slam the knife into your back.
This scene from "Gladiator" sums it up neatly.
Having stabbed us in the back... repeatedly... in so many ways... the Establishment powers now expect us to ignore the pain and reinforce our idiocy by voting for who THEY want... their efforts to elect leftists and fake Republicans notwithstanding.
Well, party loyalty is an important element of this game... and that is why I will be voting entirely GOP this upcoming general election.
For every RINO running, I will write in a GOP figure. As I already pointed out, I will be following our esteemed Congresswoman's example in writing in Paul Ryan for her position.
Others are deserving of the same.
Yeah, I've heard it. OMG! What will happen if we lose the House?
The President will be impeached!
Well, what happened when the GOP controlled the House? How'd they do on Obamacare? How have they done on cutting government and reducing the deficit? And as it is, our Congresswoman would vote to impeach Mr. Trump anyway, just like Long. So what difference would that make?
Reelecting that vacuous waste of skin, that gutless coward, won't accomplish anything the Establishment claims.
My "conservative" State Senator has yoked us with hundreds of millions of dollars of unneeded, unaffordable taxes in Clark County alone in the form of gas taxes and tab fee increases.
Having killed the CRC/Loot Rail scam, they got to her somehow and now she's leading the charge to ram that garbage heap down our throats to such additional hundreds of millions of dollars out of our local economy because the first $700 million wasn't enough.
And her betrayal of all of us so the teachers could scam us: her failure to tell the state supreme court to drop dead, along with that of the REST of the GOP-controlled senate... a failure that has cost us even MORE hundreds of millions of dollars, wasted on an increasingly worthless and obsolete education plant and allowed teacher greed to put them far ahead of the students as they engage in their extortion of illegal strikes...
Rivers set these strikes up with the deal she cut with the WEA.
Any sentient being paying attention could have seen this coming a thousand miles away.
And when she runs for re-election.... IF she runs for re-election... she'll market her self as someone to the right of Genghis Kahn to get the people of the 18th District to forget all about her horrific record... and instead of focusing on what she IS... focus on what she wants us to THINK she is... so she gets reelected and we get even more punishment for being stupid.
Joseph de Maistre is alleged to have noted that "Every nation gets the government it deserves."
De Tocqueville told us that those people engaging in the democratic experiment do the same: "In a democracy, the people get the government they deserve."
This is the time where, when it comes to elections, these statements ring the truest truth.
Choices have to be made.
Are you one of the sheep?
Or are you one of the sheepdogs?
What are YOU going to do?
If you don't know... maybe it's time to start thinking about it.
As the current round of extortion by teachers and their unions show, these usurious wages are simply unsustainable.
Clearly, the mere act of getting a teaching certificate does not imbue one with vision or common sense.
Like any other employee, teachers have to provide value for their wages.
These criminals engaging in illegal activities like strikes (it is against the law for teachers to strike in this state... a law they simply don't care about... a law the teachers ignore as they can get money... much like any other thug, any other criminal or in this case, any other extortionists) simply don't care about the ramifications of their actions and the examples they set: specifically, it's perfectly OK to break the law if the money is right.
That would end with teachers being replaced by technology.
Around the country, leftist thugs demand $15 per hour for wages. And like any other employer, the time has come to act in the best interests of the business, and to lay off employees who do not provide value for the company's dollar... and replace those employees, where possible, with technology... in this case, something akin to robots would do fine.
Robots don't care about wages. Robots, who don't call in sick and when they malfunction, could be repaired by easily replaceable components. Robots don't require insane wages, benefits, or retirement.
They could be programmed to stick to teaching and leave their militant leftist philosophies out of the classroom.
Clearly, these striking scum think they're owed something. They actually believe they're irreplaceable and that the service they perform makes them irreplaceable. They're dead wrong.
Many minimum wage workers felt... and feel... the same way; only to see themselves replaced by kiosks and signs and burger-flipping robots.
That mechanized technology is merely the start. And it's long past time to begin the process of replacing others, particularly in the public sector, with technologies that will serve us and do so at the least amount of cost combined with the most effectiveness.
Sadly, today's teachers have knocked themselves off their pedestals of public servants.
One of their lackeys tells us:
"Pay the teachers!!! It is painfully obvious how much we need them. Half of you opposing don't know the difference between their, there, and they're. Lmfao"The response?
Is this where I point out that the OP actually is an indictment AGAINST giving these thugs a penny?
And it's "painfully obvious" who's responsible for that state of affairs: the same teachers this clown would bend us over to pay.
So, tell us: why should they be allowed to rape our checkbooks again, please? These strikes aren't "for the kids." These strikes are a result of teacher union desperation (teachers are going to stop paying union dues as soon as this strike insanity is over as a result of the Janus Decision where public employees, including teachers, will have to opt in to paying agency fees) These strikes are for teacher greed for their part time job and union power.
These strikes, which will likely provide unsustainable pay increases in many instances; resulting in younger teachers being sacrificed under seniority rules on the altar of making sure the more senior teacher thugs can keep their jobs AND their raises while the more junior teachers get laid off to pay for it; provide all the incentive needed to get rid of teachers period, and replace them with technology in an increasingly technologically savvy world.
Just think, if that were to happen, these part time working geniuses who believe themselves to be worth soooo much, could get out there and get a REAL job so they could make STUPID money in the private sector, instead of screwing the taxpayers, insulting us, belittling us and ignoring exactly who the hell it is they think they work for.
Teachers would no longer be having sex with students. Disagreements with their philosophies would no longer result in punishment through your grade. Using the wrong noun name to describe a gender would end the practice of getting suspended or worse.
The first person to reduce teachers to technology will make money that would result in Bezos looking like a street vender.
With technology, schools would become increasingly irrelevant as parents could buy teacher-computers and keep their kids at home and out of the sphere of influence of these thugs.
And over time, the taxpayers would save hundreds of billions of dollars.
What's not to like?
I simply don't know enough ACCURATE information to assess his military career. He did a great job of using the perceptions of it to launch his political career.
My only interaction with him was years ago when the State GOP Convention included a plank in the state platform that would do away with tribal sovereignty at the state convention. (2000 in Spokane, actually).
He called the GOP office in Tukwila directly and demanded that the, at the time, highly publicized plank be removed, as if I could wave a magic wand and simply overturn a decision voted on by the state convention.
I explained to him that even as Executive Director, I wasn't in any position to simply hit the delete key. and that removal would have to be set up via the state executive board. It could be... and ultimately was... accomplished through a phone conference with the EBoard within a few days.
He didn't like that at all, but it was what it was.
My concern with Sen. McCain rests entirely on the damage he did... and his failure to champion the cause of veteran health care was part and parcel of the deaths of tens of thousands of us.
His involvement in the Keating 5 scandal was both inexplicable and inexcusable.
His decision to vote against the repeal of Obamacare which just about every Republican member of Congress... including all of his Senate GOP colleagues...had ran on to get elected... was a betrayal of everything the GOP stood for.
Done out of spite like so many RINO decisions, it once again made him the darling of the left that he was until he was nominated for president and those same leftist colleagues did their best to destroy him.
The problem I have is that when I as a veteran needed him, he wasn't there. He was in the Senate for 35 years. When it became clear veterans were dropping because the VA generally and the VA in Arizona particularly was delaying appointments until we were DEAD... what did he do about it?
Nothing that I'm aware of.
And when he was treated for his cancer, it sure wasn't done at a VA facility.
Why do you suppose that is? If VA care was all that great, then why aren't Senators lining up to receive it?
When I as a Republican needed him, he, like our worthless Congresswoman, wasn't there.
He wasn't a "Maverick" as so many of the polite, social circle limousine RINOs now calls him.
He was just a RINO who acted out of spite and who failed this country when we needed him the most.
Am I sorry he's gone? Will I miss him? Was he anything special?
As sorry as he would be if I were to die while he was alive. As much as he'd miss me if I were to die while he was still alive. And when we needed him most in Congress, he voted like a spoiled rotten, petulant jerk... like a Rivers, like a Wilson and like a Herrera... and those votes hurt us all terribly.
In short, no. He wasn't.
There, I've said it. People will be angered by my words, no doubt, but I call them like I see them and this won't be the first time.
In time, everyone will get over it... but there it is.
So, just about every district in Clark County has... or will... vote to screw their communities... and the kids they falsely claim about, if their extortion demands are not met.
ex·tor·tionTeachers, of course, would never admit to it, but in this instance, what's the difference between this extortion and any other of the white collar variety?
Teacher strikes are illegal. They know it, They dance around it, some even rather stupidly deny it.
I've been in "discussions" with some of the greedier version of the breed who come up with any number of invalid, worthless justifications for what they plan on doing... when, if they gave a damn and felt that Rivers' and the GOP-controlled Senate's betrayal of the taxpayer somehow ENTITLES them to this theft, that they should sue the districts to get their money instead of taking the criminal way out by hurting the children and their families they are, allegedly, paid to serve.
Besides attacking me... you know, one of the unfortunates who pay them their 30 pieces of silver? Because I have the temerity to disagree with their outrageous demands... they simply refuse to acknowledge that what they intend to do is against the laws of this state.
Public Employees' Collective Bargaining.
Laws are meaningless to the greedy, avaricious teacher unions who know that under Janus teachers are liable to dump them quicker than yesterday's newspaper.
That's likely to change in the short term give Janus, but the rest of the teachers are coming along for the ride. The reality here is clear: all they've ever cared about is money. And no amount of it for their part time, 183 day per year job, will ever be enough.
The outrageous demands they make are analyzed by Forensic Accountant Extraordinaire, Tiffany Couch: (Click the link)
At least one district is demanding a 30% pay raise.
Albert Einstein wouldn't be worth a 30% pay raise.
And like all teachers, they don't give a damn if they have to break the law to get it.
As for the children they teach?
From their perspective?
Will these millions... tens of millions... hundreds of millions more wasted on paying teachers ultimately make any difference in our 21.8% drop out rate?
Will the billions we've dumped into the WEA education plant result in a better, more academically accomplished graduate?
And what happens when these additional billions effectively do nothing?
Are they going to be as eager to give the money back as the were to extort it in the first place?
We continue to hear the lie that this extortion is "for the children." We continue to watch the teachers defecate on the laws of this state with their illegal strikes.
Well, it's NOT for "the children." It's to feed teacher greed. It's to enrich the union... a union teetering on the brink of elimination as a result of the Janus Decision.
And, as always, no number will ever be enough.
A local woman of numbers did an analysis of the typical school year for teachers (at the end of this post) who are, I believe, already absurdly overpaid for both what they do and how long they do it each year.
As I understand it, the teaching year is statutorily set at a minimum of 183 - 7 hour or so days per year.
For that, teachers in the Evergreed School District are demanding... DEMANDING... a 30% pay increase over the next 3 years.
That, of course, is insane. No teacher is worth that kind of a raise and these morons need to remember that those of us paying their salaries do NOT see that kind of an increase, anywhere.
The product teachers punch out like movie tickets... when they managed to graduate at all (Around 1 in 5 don't make it) are sadly not all that prepared for the world in any senses, let alone the academic.
In Hockinson, my two graduates of Hockinson high school did very well academically: one was a 3.6 GPA, one a 3.1.
Neither could pass the math placement test at Clark College.
Anyhoo, like teachers all over the state, Hockinson teachers are gearing up to throw their OWN hissy fit in a district where property taxes exploded as a result of the GOP Senate ripoff known as the McCleary decision.
The problem is the pay, benefits, retirement and so forth of these prima donnas is simply getting out of hand.
This woman professional posted her analysis... only to be met with the standard
Make sure you factor in the work done at home, and during the days school is not in session. Most of classroom set up and curriculum planning is do e on our own time, as well as time spent answering emails and student questions, the time we volunteer for advising student clubs and meeting with parents after their work day is finished.
Before I rip this attitude of entitlement to shreds I need to start with this part of this idiocy first:
(T)he time we volunteer for advising student clubs and meeting with parents after their work day is finished.
So, for her edification, I'll consult one of the dozens of online dictionaries available to help her out with that:
volunteers (plural noun)
volunteers (third person present) · volunteered (past tense) · volunteered (past participle) · volunteering (present participle)
So. This paragon of altruistic virtue now believes she should get paid for volunteering.
See, *I* volunteer. I have worked in a mobile food bank on a monthly basis for the last 6 years or so.
I also volunteer at the Clark County Veterans Assistance Center every week.
I don't expect to get paid for any of it. I wouldn't TAKE money for any of it.
You see, THAT'S what it MEANS to VOLUNTEER.
As for some nebulous claim about "work done at home," how do we know any of that is true?
"Classroom set up" is also voluntary and can certainly be accomplished during the school day: teachers should put in an 8 hour work day like anyone else.
"Answering emails and student questions?"
Gee. Who knew THAT wasn't a part of teaching? Is it possible to answer their questions at school? Again, this seems to be a "volunteer" issue... I mean, how did *I* ever make it out of school without being able to email my teacher who would then drop everything else in their life to answer me after school hours when they've gone home.
While this IS the typical response from these greedy slime, none of it justifies anything.
Here's the thing: teachers, if you don't like the pay, the benefits, the retirement and the working conditions?
Then feel free to quit.
You see, I have to wonder: what level of intelligence did a teacher have when, in choosing this job, they failed to fully understand the requirements?
And when they signed the contract TO teach, how is it they didn't seem to understand what the job PAID for their part time, 183 day gig?
Look, I get that it's all about teacher greed. The McCleary decision was a scam that the Legislature should have... and easily could have... ignored. But the GOP-controlled Senate sold us out with Sen. Ann "Gas Tax" Rivers being the lead saleswoman.
The result was this explosion in our property taxes, increases unheard of in this state's history.
And now the teachers and their unions want to rape us and extort us by threatening to go on yet another series of illegal strikes.
Here's the thing, teachers: you are once again holding your academic gun to the heads of our children to extort more money going into YOUR pocket from out of ours.
If you don't like the deal the districts are offering, then feel free to sue the districts in question. But now, you've lost your cover and the truth has blown the lid off: your bogus strikes have NEVER been "for the kids." You just use them like a shield... like ISIS used civilians as a shield to stop air strikes.
As it is, what these teacher strikes/extortion efforts have taught us is that NO number will EVER be high enough.
Pay them $200,000 this year, and next year, they'd want $10,000 more.
Sadly, the quality of the product they actually produce is never in question: bring up the issue of teacher accountability (Which the GOP-Senate failed to address in any way, meaningful or otherwise) and the teachers lose their minds because, well, you know: they can never be like any OTHER employee, right? The best teachers can never be paid for being the best, and the worst teachers can never get fired, right?
But THIS time as you striking teachers go about your efforts to extort more money out of us, remember: that is not the way to get taxpayer support and in the end, when you need it most?
It ain't gonna be there.
Here is the entire analysis by Tiffany Couch, Forensic Accountant Extraordinaire.
Because I'm an infinitely curious person, I decided to look at the local school calendars and figure out the number of days a typical teacher works. I assumed they had to work 10 days before school starts and 2 days after (very generous, based on what I know about my teacher friends). I assumed they had to work all snow make-up days. Total days worked = 192. The rest of the year, they get 45 no-work days and 23 paid holidays. In other words, they get 68 no-work days, the equivalent of 13.5 weeks, or 3 months plus a week of no work per year (this does NOT include weekends).
Conversely, someone in my office works 236 days per year. This is 251 working days minus 15 days of PTO (fairly standard). They also get 9 days of holiday pay. In other words, they get 24 no-work days, the equivalent of 1 month and not quite another week of work.
The difference in working days is 45 days. 9 weeks. More than 2 months.
When you start to look at the equivalent hourly rate between a teacher who works 192 days and someone making the same in a full-time job the difference per hour is between 5 and 7 dollars, depending where on the scale the teacher falls.
And this is before medical, dental, and pension benefits. Each teacher gets a little more than 15% of their annual salary posted to a pension account (for a teacher making $50,000 this equates to $7,500 in additional benefit).
If your company needed to get its product to market, needed to pay its debt, and ensure that its people were paid, would you agree to double-digit raises? What would happen to your company if you did?
My last impression of Matilda was his scumbag little speech at the last quarterly PCO meeting this month where he babbled about the PCO election results... and came across like the establishment hack he truly is.
Generally speaking, the Republican Party is SUPPOSED to be pro-2nd Amendment.
But the chair of the local GOP is a little "gun shy," in addition to his myriad of other problems.
And so is his sidekick, Joel Mattila, to our lasting shame (not to mention President Trump's), State Committeeman for the Clark County GOP... and coward.
It seems ol' Druggie and company have their own PAC. And, per PDC regulations, a group of folks exercised their right to examine said books.
They showed up at the appointed place (Local GOP HQ) at the appointed time (7:00 pm on August 6) to exercise their rights.
Both Druggy and Matilda showed up at the appointed time... in a big ol' truck, apparently being driven by Druggy.
In defense of the lawsuit Gellatly has filed against me for “defamation,” my attorney and I issued a subpoena to get the bank records of Clark Leadership PAC from Columbia Credit Union. Gellatly’s attorney tried to get that subpoena quashed. Gellatly and Mattila and their attorney are going to extreme lengths to hide the actual facts of their financial records of their PAC.
Thankfully, that motion to quash was denied by the Judge in the case. I and my attorney WILL be getting the records they are trying so hard to hide.
(The) Following is the sequence of events that transpired when they were supposed to show myself and others the records of their PAC.
I showed up at CCRP HQ a little before 7 PM on August 6th.
Gellatly never responded to my request to change the meeting time to 7, so I just figured to show up at 7.
I was met there by:
We were standing outside waiting in front of HQ.
Kevin Vangelder is an Open-carry activist. He always carries his pistol, openly, everywhere. It was in a secure police-type holster the entire time.
I’m almost certain Mattila has been around Kevin, while Kevin has been armed, in the past, and it never bothered him before. Mattila has certainly been at Central committee meetings where a considerable number of Republicans in attendance have been visibly and openly armed in addition to carrying concealed arms – which was apparently never a problem for him.
None of the rest of us were armed in any way.
Kevin kept his pistol in his holster the entire time, and never touched it – you know, like our friend Kevin always does in polite society.
Gellatly and Mattila arrived a few minutes after 7.
They remained in Gellatly’s truck in the parking lot for approximately 20 minutes without talking to us. It appeared like they may have made a phone call to someone while in the truck. During this time they were laughing and taking pictures of us and the papers they later gave to me.
It turns out that was when Mattila was calling 911. Listen to Butters whine in this 911 call audio:
Considering it was most likely David Gellatly who wanted to use a 911 call as cover for not disclosing their PAC’s books, it was nice that he had a “team player” like Joel “Butters” Mattila to take one for the team…
After about 20 minutes, Gellatly drove his truck up to us, arms length away from me, and stuck his arm out of his window with the papers.
He Asked me with a smile on his face, “Do you want these?”
Joel “Butters” Mattila was laughing and smiling also.
I asked if they were about his PAC.
Gellatly’s response was to ask again the same question – “Do you want these?”
I asked if they were the bank records or books of his PAC.
He asked again, “Do you want these?”
I took the papers.
David and Mattila laughed and drove off.
They drove to a nearby parking lot, turned around, and drove past us on Covington Avenue, about 30 feet away, window down, laughing and smirking at us.
They repeated this, driving by us 3 or 4 times over about a 15 minute period, each time hooting and laughing and waving at us.
All of which is not the behavior of someone in actual fear of their safety; not someone genuinely expressing real feelings of his real fear to the dispatchers at the 911 call center.
Instead – laughing, hooting, hollering, and waving while repeatedly driving by.
Yeah – That’s a strange way to show fear.
We who were there for the appointment to see their PAC’s books decided to stay until 8:30, which we did, because we considered Gellatly may come back at 8, the time he chose for the meeting, in order to claim that we weren’t there so that’s why he didn’t produce the books.
Gellatly and Mattila never came by again and we left at 8:30 or so.
Apparently “Butters” Mattila called 911 during that time we saw him on his phone in the parking lot, but no deputy ever showed up, though a patrol vehicle did drive by at one point long after the Snivel Twins™ had left, but the patrol officer never paid any attention to us.
At no time did Mattila or his apparent consort appear to act afraid or concerned for their safety. Rather they appeared to be enjoying themselves with smiles and laughs. This seemed sophomorically comical to them.
Both Kevin Vangelder and Dan Clark were video recording what transpired. It looked like Mattila and Gellatly were also taking photos and or video of us at points throughout the encounter.
And his claim of an attempted kidnapping as heard in the 911 call?
According to the Clark county Sheriff and Vancouver PD, no report was ever made of an attempted kidnapping of either of those two.
Clark County Sheriff letter no responsive records kidnapping
VPD Letter – No Responsive Records kidnapping
Isn’t making false statements to law enforcement a criminal act? I hope they aren’t making a knowingly false accusation that I was involved in any attempt to kidnap them, because that too is apparently a crime.
“Butters” Mattila really is a snowflake.
A whiny, liberal, crybaby snowflake.
He ought to turn in his TRUMP credentials and go snivel with the Democrats…
You really should read the PDC complaint I filed, which has all the full details on this event and their attempt to hide the truth of their PAC’s financial records: Clark Leadership PAC complaint all documents
And the 911 dispatch call form:
911 call Clark Leadership
WHO IS DADDY WHOREBUCKS?
