MGK and Eminem have it out over a few diss tracks this past week and MGK is surley hurting for a come back right about now. Eminem released his diss to MGK'S recent diss track " Rap Devil" about 8 hours ago and Eminem Destroyed him with talent and skill. The two rappers have had it out on a global platform and its seemingly just begun.
The two rappers have gone toe to toe the last week switching diss tracks and lot''s of emotion but as we look at both MGK has a net worth of $8 Million dollars as Eminem has a networth of $190 Million. Each have had their successes but surly MGK knew what he was getting into stepping to the rap god. Eminem has just delivered a diss response to MGK'S track released on September 3rd, 2018. "KillShot" published just 8 hours ago now has over 19 Million Views. MGK'S track "Rap Devil" is currently at 75 million views. We will see where both tracks go over the next few weeks.
Now we can only wait and watch to see if MGK brings back anything with more lyricism and less mumble rap. As of now I truly feel though it may have been a great career move for MGK he brought way to little skill to a battle he could have gone much farther with. We will keep our eyes pealed to see if he comes back with anything with more substance. MGK though catchy, lacks any real punches with substance.
Eminem has come back into the game this year with his new album release and now this beef with MGK. We will Keep you updated as this goes on!
DRAB MAJESTY EMBARKS ON NORTH AMERICAN TOUR WITH DEAFHEAVEN AND UNIFORM
The interdimensional darkwave star is on the road again behind critically-acclaimed album, The Demonstration.
After releasing post-punk masterpiece The Demonstration and embarking on several massive tours last year, Drab Majesty is back, and on the road in North America now alongside Deafheaven and Uniform. Focusing on the aesthetics of cult ritual and the devastating power of music, Drab Majesty’s live show has become a phenomenon in itself. Fronted by interdimensional muse Deb Demure and anchored by Mona D on keyboard accompaniment, Drab Majesty infuses goth with pulsing synth and shimmery “tragic wave” flourishes.
Released in 2017 on DAIS Records, their sophomore LP The Demonstration is chock “full of atmospheric spacescapes, darkwave melodies, and themes that breach the limits of time and space” (CVLT Nation). This album helped to fully realize Drab Majesty’s transition from warbled cassette project to captivating post-punk medium. There will be more to come from Drab Majesty — look for information to surface soon. For now, catch them on the road:
INDUSTRIAL DUO ECHO BEDS RELEASE MUSIC VIDEO + ANNOUNCE U.S. SHOWS
“Carved in Stone” appears on their new album Buried Language, out August 17 on The Flenser.
"...channel classic Ministry..." - Revolver
Echo Beds’ inspiration for their new album stemmed from incidents in December of 2016. The band suddenly found themselves locked out of their rehearsal space, and their gear was being held hostage as city officials all over the country cracked down on unsanctioned artist collectives and the various DIY structures where many outsider creators lived and worked. This weighed heavily on them, and they spent the next 8 months experimenting and writing the material what would become Buried Language in their living rooms. Deprived of their usual tools, Echo Beds was forced to improvise using unfamiliar electronics and various cobbled together devices in order to flesh out the embryonic ideas. With the plight of their colleagues fresh in their minds, these new working conditions served to shape the industrial landscape of Buried Language.
DIY has been an ongoing theme with the band and today, Echo Beds have premiered a handcrafted music video for their single and album opener “Carved In Stone.” The band commented: “The director came to the table with the vision and then we started brainstorming as to how we could pull it off on a shoestring budget. We set up like a live show in our friend’s garage, built giant walls made of taped together trash bags around us, borrowed a projector, and played the song repeatedly at show volume while projections cast the light over us. The whole thing cost about $100.”

If there’s a band that beautifully epitomizes what old school underground Thrash and Death Metal are all about, that band has to be the ruthless Brazilian four-piece outfit Torture Squad who, since theirinception in the distant year of 1990 in the city of São Paulo, a metropolis with almost 20 million people located in the southeast region of Brazil, has been fighting for heavy music and remained loyal totheir foundations, even with all the adversities in a country where metal is far from being a popular genre. Carrying a powerful name inspired by the song “Death Squad”, by American thrash retailers
Sacred Reich, and having already released seven studio albums, two live albums and three EP’s, it’s time for Torture Squad to attack humanity once again with another sensational blast of traditional extreme music, titled Far Beyond Existence, the eight full-length release in their solid and exciting career.
Featuring a somber and ominous artwork by Brazilian artist Rafael Tavarez (who has already provided his brilliant art to several other bands all over the world such as Dark Ministry, Vulture and Moonkult), Far Beyond Existence is the first full-length opus by Torture Squad to feature the she-wolf Mayra “Unread” Puertas as their lead singer, as well as Rene Simionato on guitars. As a matter of fact, although the talented Mayra and Rene already released last year an EP with Torture Squad, the excellent Return of Evil, it’s now with the band’s new full-bodied installment that they have all the room needed to showcase their refined abilities as musicians and their utmost passion for all things extreme. And they more than succeed in their mission as you’ll see when you start listening to this incendiary album of Brazilian Extreme Metal.

Austin, TX duo Street Sects have returned with a forward-thinking and uncompromising 12-inch record titled Rat Jacket. The 4-song release follows 2016’s critically acclaimed LP End Position, but if that album was a bullet to the head, then Rat Jacket is a knife in the back.
"Although all four songs on Rat Jackettouch upon some aspect of betrayal, 'In Prison, At Least I Had You' feels the most personal and specific as to what I was trying to say lyrically on this EP," says Street Sects vocalist Leo Ashline. Listen to the track now via Revolver Magazine.
While Rat Jacket is not exactly a follow-up to End Position, it still maintains the sample-based foundation that is the core of the band’s sound; the songs here experiment with melody and organic instrumentation. Thematically, the record deals with loyalty, trust, betrayal, paranoia, and the sadness and regret that comes with the acceptance of our own selfish nature. Rat Jacket represents a brief step to the side, an intentional detour from their previous output.
The 4-song 12inch Rat Jacket is due out October 6 on The Flenser; catch Street Sects on tour this fall with hip-hop/noise pioneers Dälek:

After the major loss of Chester Bennington, a hero to a lot of us 90's kids 9 days ago rapper MGK releases his tribute to Chester by covering "Numb" on of Linkin Parks greatest hits. MGK stepped way out of his comfort zone here and actually did pretty well. He covered numb joining artist like Green Day, Jay Z and many others who stepped out to pay tribute to the rock star. Chester was only 41 at the time of his death. After struggling hard over the years with abuse, sexual abuse and family issues Chester took his own life on July 20th at his home in Palos Verdes Estates, California. He died on what would have been Chris Cornell's 53 birthday. Chris Cornell was the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for Soundgarden who committed suicide by hanging as well on May 18th, 2017. Two of the best bands we grew up on as 90's kids have lost key members over the past 90 days and we have to keep thinking about how to we have lost quite a few great musicians this year to suicide and leaves nothing but room to think about how we can work to prevent this in the future!
Listen to the second single from the shoegazers’ forthcoming album, due out August 11 via Robotic Empire.
“...features (appropriately) hushed vocals from all four members, cooing over a messy, punk-sick shoegaze. It can, from songs that read as intimately as notes passed between friends, make for quite the harmony-riddled racket.” - NPR
Fresh off the announcement of their forthcoming debut album, dream pop quartet Big Hush has released a mind freak of a video for their track “Cough.” Taking a deep dive in the darker realms of their bedroom rock sound, the D.C. band combines pop songwriting with the opulence of shoegaze in one technicolored soundscape. Watch the video via IMPOSE today.
“‘Cough’ is about being caught in a rut for so long that you lose touch with yourself and grow complacent about the shape of your life,” Big Hush says of the track. “The song is a plea that you could make to a friend, or yourself, to fight the easy temptation of viewing one's identity as reducible, or static. We're not as hard-wired as we think; we can always try to be better.”
Featuring members of Pygmy Lush and Flasher, Big Hush thrives in the gray area between harmony-laden melancholy, off-kilter punk, and cacophonous shoegaze. Fiercely embracing a collaborative spirit, Big Hush’s songs are imbued with the tension and tenderness requisite of intimate friendship.
Originally conceived as two separate albums, Big Hush’s debut LP, Spirit/Wholes, was recorded throughout 2014 and 2015. Chronicling a complex and gossamer aesthetic, the album’s ten tracks explore dense textures, complex arrangements and lush harmonies with a searing clarity.
Spirit/Wholes is due out via Robotic Empire on August 11. Catch Big Hush on tour this summer.
BIG HUSH — ON TOUR:
July 21 @ Hardywood (Richmond, VA)
July 22 @ Radio Shack (Raleigh, NC)
July 25 @ Neutral Grounds Coffee (New Orleans, LA)
Chester Bennington, lead singer of the band Linkin Park
Chester Bennington, lead singer of the band Linkin Park, has committed suicide by hanging, according to a report from TMZ earlier this afternoon. He was 41 years old.
Los Angeles law enforcement officials told TMZ that his body was found just before 9 a.m. on Thursday in a private residence in Palos Verdes Estates, which is located in Los Angeles County.
Los Angeles coroner spokesman Brian Elias confirmed the death but says they are currently investigating the case as an apparent suicide. No additional details are available at this time.
Bennington, a father of six children, suffered from drug and alcohol addictions and had revealed in a past interview that he had been sexually abused as a child as well as suffering severe mental abuse.
Bennington’s band, Linkin Park, has sold over 75 million albums worldwide and has won two Grammy Awards. The group rose to international fame with their debut album Hybrid Theory (2000), which was certified Diamond by the RIAA in 2005 and multi-Platinum in several other countries. The band released its seventh studio album, One More Light, in May.
This is a major loss for music fans and our entire generation as we grew up listening to Chester and Linkin Park almost daily.
Tacha B. has taken a break from finalizing her book that's soon to be published to release this new dark and soulful track titled "Microphone." Releasing all of her built up emotions and pain from a long life of trauma, heartbreak, mistreatment and abuse. This track is a big stepping stone for the private singer, songwriter, and occasional 16 bar spitter. Allowing people into her life and pain is not something the artist is too comfortable with, but Tacha B is understanding that her life’s story could possibly save the lives of many of the youth. Changing the perspectives of young people who are also damaged, hurt and broken. Bringing light towards neglect, physical and emotional abuse, and the value of self love and enlightenment. This has got to be one of the most darkest song the artist has ever written, produced and performed. This song will get into the souls of many. Enjoy.

Brandon Harris: What got you all into music?
FBF: What gets anybody into music? We all have our different inspirations. Janna said she's always just wanted to know how people would make music happen from different instruments.
Brandon Harris: When did Famous by February forum?
FBF: Originally FBF formed in April of 2013. The final FBF was just recently introduced. Our front-woman joined this past December, and then the new lead guitar came about in April right before a charity show that we did. Thus, creating the final Famous by February.
Brandon Harris: What do the members like to do on their free time?
FBF: There really isn't any free time amongst us. When there is, our lead guitar focuses on his video games and the drummer likes cooking. Aside from that, us other two members don't really have free time hobbies apart from music.
Brandon Harris: Who inspired you all in your youth?
FBF: Chad answered with Elvis Presley. Janna said Hanson. Harold mentioned Eminem, Ed Sheeran, and Kina Grannis but that doesn't fall too long ago for him. John Mayer has always been a huge inspiration for our vocalist.
Brandon Harris: What has been the best show you all have ever played and why?
FBF: For three of us, we'll have to say our album release party at The Masquerade. It was a huge milestone for us, not only for the release of our first album, "Confessions" but also playing such a popular Atlanta venue. Though for Harold, he says The Vinyl show would have been his milestone performance, since it is where he saw his favorite artist play live.
Brandon Harris: As a band how long does it take to write a song and then get it down?
FBF: It depends on how we're vibing. If we are all happy and in a good mood, we are much more productive. Something will click and we could have a song written within a few minutes and perfected within a few days.
Brandon Harris: What do you have in store for your fans for the fall?
FBF: We have HUGE things coming. Our second album is being scheduled to be released and some other things coming that we can't talk about just yet. We're super excited for what's in store.
Brandon Harris: Having a female front is really cool! How do you feel that has helped your band grow?
FBF:It makes us different, because sometimes females can be underestimated as a front. And honestly, sex appeal is a huge thing too. Not in a degrading way though. It's more of a sexy confidence type thing.
Brandon Harris: Who is the funny person in the band?
FBF: Everyone agrees Janna is the funniest but Chad says he is probably the funniest looking.
Brandon Harris: What do you guys and gal's have as set goals for Famous By February?
FBF:Easy. Red Rock. Dream big or not at all! Also, we try our hardest to write each song better than the last.
Brandon Harris: If you could play on stage with one band who would it be and why?
FBF: Chad thinks The Killers because they put on such a killer live show. (Pun intended)
Janna said Mutemath because they're innovative and put on a great live show as well.
Harold says Ed Sheeran, being it is his biggest inspiration and Bethany says John Mayer or Melanie Martinez for the same reason.
Brandon Harris: What are some of the hardest obstacles you have had to overcome to get to where you are?
FBF:The two biggest ones have to be fan growth and expenses. We wouldn't be anywhere without our fans, but at the same time media requires money to be spent. But we know all the effort and money we are putting into it will pay off in the long run.
Brandon Harris: What would you say to young people getting into music?
FBF: Don't give up. Have persistence. Keep fighting for your goal and keep practicing until you get it right. It's the best feeling in the world when you finally get there.
Brandon Harris: Would you rock out with the president? Had to ask a funny?
FBF: Definitely! When the most powerful man in the country asks you to rock out with him, you grab your guitar!
Brandon Harris: Anything to say to your fans?
FBF: Hang tight for us! We've got great things coming for you guys. And thank you for sticking with us and showing us all your support! FBF wouldn't be the same if it weren't for you.
With the amount of genres out there, it’s only natural that distortion pedals have become so popular. A lot of people don’t actually understand how effect pedals work and how they function together with your amp or guitar.
In today’s post and infographic, we’ll look at some of the different effect pedals and pedal boards.
Another really popular and specific type of effect is fuzz, which is common in the metal and industrial genre. It is also a favorite for vocals as well as instruments. Fuzzboxes add a certain kind of distortion that sounds just like the name - fuzzy. The original signal is totally changed and morphed into a square waveform. It’s like the sound hits a wall and then reforms into a new entity before carrying on.
Fuzzboxes can also add a slight harmonic overtone to help give an artificially rounded and warmer sound. Using adjustable frequency multiplier the harsher sound is modified, and can create harmonic overtones instead.
A chorus pedal works by creating slight variations in the pitch and also the timing of multiple performers. It’s one of the more commonly used effect pedals and helps give music a slightly “dreamy” quality. It’s a great choice for acoustic amps, electric pianos or clavinets.
A compressor helps "compresses" the signal made by your guitar. It normalizes the dynamic range of the audio input signal based on a threshold value. Anytime you record anything this is a key component. Everything you hear in music that is produced today is compressed in some way--and it can sound anything from a subtle barely noticeable effect to a thick, dampened squish.
While there are a few other effect pedals out there the ones I’ve covered today are the most important. For more information take a quick look at the infographic below and leave a comment if you have any questions about effect pedals or how to find the best one for your needs.
